It dropped to about 41ºF last night, which is probably the coldest it's ever been for me while in the Goose. Especially when one of my windows is missing a bolt and won't shut completely. Fortunately, my sleeping bag was able to keep me pretty warm and toasty, but whenever my hands or face were exposed, it got really fast. Well, as cold as it gets for a socal kid anyway.
I've learned a pretty good trick to temporarily keep a little warmer though. But it may or may not gross some of you out a bit. All you need is a sealable plastic bottle, and to drink plenty of water a few hours before going bed. I'll let your imagination figure out the next part. And voila! you have a heater for your hands.
